About the Author
The author is a Harvard University Master Teacher who has taught at Harvard, Penn State, Juniata College, Lesley College, Boston State College, and in New York City secondary schools. He has been listed in Who's Who Among America's High School Teachers, and twice nominated for the Board of Trustees of the College Board. He also served as a member of the Editorial Board of the Harvard Educational Review, and has published numerous articles, book reviews, and op-ed pieces.

A Book That Should Be Read By Every Parent and Concerned Citizen!

This book is everything you would like if you want to read a current, conservative, and vibrant critique of the schools. Mr. Ludwig writes with humor and an unusual verve. He draws us to the real dangers of Common Core, the threat posed by undo left wing influence in the schools, the actual day-to-day horrors that exist in certain schools (students running wild), and the need for a revamped commitment to traditional educational values such as knowledge, compassion, character building, creativity, and the classic freedoms and Judeo-Christian values upon which America was built.
He never really answers how we are to shift away from the reformers and change agents who are ruining the system and returning more respect and authority to the individual classroom teachers (he has tremendous respect for the teaching profession), but he does point to one modality that will make a difference.... But I won't spoil it for you by saying here what that modality is.
